My Favorite Santa Barbara County Courthouse Photo Locations
The Santa Barbara County Courthouse offers some of the most beautiful and varied photo locations of any public building in California — the Spiral Staircase, Sunken Gardens, Grand Arch, Mural Room, and more, all within a five-minute walk.

Spiral Staircase
From the side or above, this piece or courthouse architecture is always colorful and stunning.

Sunken Gardens
This is where the larger weddings are held and also where we have free movies in the summer on the giant blow up screen. Can get a little muddy so watch those spike heels!

The Magnolia Tree
This beauty right next to the Grand Arch blooms twice a year. There are not official ceremonies under it but you can capture great group and couples portraits under its canopy.

The Fiesta Stage
Classic Spanish brown wood and tile for ceremonies up to 85 people. It gets lots of sun and reflected light on those stairs, so time of day is key!

Rotunda Lawn
A smaller, shaded location perfect for intimate gatherings of up to 25 guests. It has an elevated view of the Grand Arch as well.

The Bottlebrush Trees
On the south side of property are the beautiful teal shutters and Bottlebrush trees with red flowers.
